Facephi

Facephi is a facial recognition technology startup that I got into as CTO and started together with their two co-founders.

Aimed at improving aspects such as safety, traceability and convenience across different physical and digital scenarios on multiple industries, especially around the financial sector.

This project consisted in building from scratch a facial recognition technology targeted at all those developers who want to integrate facial recognition features into their solutions.

From securing financial transactions in online banking platforms and ATMs, to authenticating users to drive their vehicles, to employee logging and access control, to suspects identification., it was aimed at supporting a wide and pretty diverse range of scenarios and environments.

These days, it’s mainly serving financial organizations and helping millions of people all around the world to feel safer and more comfortable on their interactions with financial entities.

As the technical lead of this initiative, I was in charge of researching, designing and developing the product, recruiting, training and leading a team of up to 10 software engineers, setting up internal processes and workflows, helping and sustaining marketing and customer support efforts, etc.

As part of it, I collaborated as a manager, researcher, software designer and developer, to greater or lesser extent, on specific sub-projects such as Facephi SDK, Facephi Demo, Facephi Web Demo, Facephi Physical Access Control or Facephi License Manager.
