These days, I’m working on a publication project with my brother Jose Rodes, aimed at helping other non-conformist and creative misfits (a specific species of entrepreneurs) find their right path and avoid the mistakes and roadblocks that we’ve had to experience along our journey.
Also, looking for more ways and hotspots to help people, society and the world.
I’m a curious person. I always have more to learn than I can handle. It’s an addiction. Currently, I’m deepening further, both from a theoretical and practical standpoint, into the topics of life & personal growth, design research, innovation, experience design, influence, inbound marketing, and content writing and other related and supporting topics such as behavioral psychology, sociology, systems thinking or jobs to be done.
On the other hand, partly because of my own experience, partly because of the study and research I’ve come to perform on this matter in the last times, I’ve been able to realize how important it is to establish good habits in our everyday lives and the huge impact they can have at many different levels (in health, performance, etc.) to keep everything in balance. I’m working on this aspect as well.
Nowadays, I’m trying to read at least 30 minutes every day (even though I can’t always manage to do it). The last book I read was “Thinking in Systems by Donella H. Meadows”. Right now I’m with “Empathetic Marketing” by Mark Ingwer. Great reads both of them! Next…🤔…probably “Influencer: The new science leading change” by Joseph Grenny, Kerry Patterson, David Maxfield, Ron McMillan, and Al Switzler…a really promising book 😊.
I have also got into the practice of journaling. This is a tool that is showing a tremendously positive impact on my life, as it gives me room to reflect, structure my thoughts, plan and be more deliberate, productive and effective at reaching my goals at work and life.
I take care of my diet and I’m doing exercise at least 3 days a week. I try it to be 5 days but I can’t always reach that figure. What I usually try to do is exercising with weights and running. On this matter, something I want to explore further in the near future is other new and stimulating disciplines that put more emphasis on exercising with your own weight and other basic stuff (such as CrossFit or calisthenics). I like intense training with little rest.
I’ve resumed the practice of playing the Spanish guitar that I started when I was a child. I went back to it a few years ago and I’ve been playing with it almost every week, mainly as a hobby (even though I’ve gone through blank periods as well). I’d like, however, to learn and dig further in a more structured way in the near future.
I’m also a really big fan of movies and TV series so this is one of the main things I enjoy doing in my free time. Recently amazed by Bates Motel. Now watching Vikings and Ozark.
